Amazon Set to Unveil New Echo Devices and Kindles at September 30th Event

Amazon has officially announced its fall hardware event, which will take place on September 30th, 2025, in New York City. As per tradition, Amazon will unveil new smart devices, including the latest Echo speakers, Fire TV gadgets, and Kindle models. The event’s invitation hints at the possibility of new color Kindle devices, with speculation around a potential Kindle Scribe in color. The appearance of the blue Alexa light suggests the introduction of new Echo devices. This event is particularly significant as it marks the first major product announcements under Panos Panay, who took over Amazon’s Devices & Services division after leaving Microsoft in late 2023. Panay hosted a Kindle-only event in October 2024, but the company skipped its usual large hardware launch in favor of quieter releases over the following months. In February 2025, Amazon launched Alexa Plus, an updated version of its voice assistant powered by large language models (LLMs), but there was no new hardware at that time.
