AMD’s FSR 4 Upscaling Now Available in Over 85 Games
AMD has officially rolled out support for its FSR 4 AI-powered upscaling technology in over 85 games. Initially launched alongside the RX 9000-series graphics cards, FSR 4 is a competitor to Nvidia’s DLSS 4. It uses machine learning algorithms to predict and compensate for missing pixels in low-resolution rendering, offering enhanced performance and high-definition visuals that rival native resolutions. With the new 25.9.1 driver, FSR 4 is now supported in most titles that already support FSR 3.1 with DirectX 12. For games that only support FSR 3.1, users can enable FSR 4 by toggling a setting in AMD’s Adrenalin Edition software, allowing the driver to override the game’s FSR 3.1 implementation. Notable games that have added FSR 4 support include Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima, and F1 25. The update represents a significant improvement in AMD’s upscaling technology, bringing advanced frame generation and upscaling features to a broader range of titles.
