Anker Launches Durable Floating Bluetooth Speaker Designed for Extreme Conditions

Anker has introduced the Soundcore Boom 3i, a rugged outdoor Bluetooth speaker built to withstand extreme environments. Designed to float upright in water without distortion, it’s ideal for aquatic activities like kayaking or pool parties. The speaker features a special coating that allows it to resist saltwater corrosion for up to two years, far outlasting typical models that may begin to degrade after just five months.

The Boom 3i also boasts drop resistance from heights of up to 1 meter and an IP68 rating, making it both dustproof and waterproof. It can survive submersion up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Delivering 50W of power, it reaches volumes of 98dB and offers 16 hours of continuous playback on a full charge.

Additional features include an emergency alarm as loud as a motorcycle, a voice amplifier for broadcasting messages, and a “Buzz Clean” function that uses vibration to remove sand and dust. Priced at $189, the Boom 3i is positioned for users who prioritize durability and versatility in their portable audio equipment, particularly in outdoor or survivalist settings.
