Apple iPhone 17 Pro Review: Redesigned with Better Zoom and Performance

The iPhone 17 Pro marks Apple’s most significant redesign in years, featuring a fresh aluminium unibody design, a larger camera bump, and bolder colors. With a price starting at £1,099, it’s Apple’s most expensive small Pro model to date. The phone includes a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR screen, the A19 Pro chip, and significant upgrades in camera performance, particularly with its new 48MP telephoto camera that allows for 4x optical zoom. Battery life has been extended by a couple of hours, and the phone offers impressive 5G speeds along with a cooler, quieter operation thanks to a new vapour chamber cooling system. It maintains the usual excellent screen and performance standards of Apple phones but differentiates itself mainly through its superior camera system. Despite the design improvements, the iPhone 17 Pro still faces competition from the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, which offer similar screen quality at a lower price. If you’re looking for top-tier telephoto capabilities, this is the model to get, but expect to pay a premium for it.
