Apple has rolled out the third public beta versions of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and watchOS 26.1, allowing public beta testers to access these updates through the Software Update section of their devices’ Settings app after enrolling on Apple’s beta site. These betas, initially seeded to developers earlier in the week, introduce significant enhancements, particularly in Apple Intelligence, which now supports additional languages such as Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese. The updates also bring AirPods Live Translation to Japanese, Korean, Italian, and both Mandarin Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Minor tweaks have been made to apps like Photos, Music, the Apple TV app, and Phone, with detailed changes outlined in Apple’s iOS 26.1 features guide. Alongside these updates, Apple is preparing to launch new products, including an M5-powered MacBook Pro, as teased by Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak. Other anticipated releases include updated iPad Pro and Vision Pro models with M5 chips. Additionally, Apple TV+ is being rebranded to Apple TV, signaling a refreshed identity. These developments highlight Apple’s ongoing efforts to enhance its software ecosystem and hardware lineup with advanced AI capabilities and performance improvements.
