Apple to Unify Design Across All Major Operating Systems at WWDC 2025

Apple is preparing for a major overhaul of its software platforms, set to be unveiled at the upcoming WWDC 2025 event on June 9. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, not only will iOS 19 for iPhone and iPad receive a significant redesign, but watchOS, tvOS, and even visionOS will also undergo notable visual updates. This marks Apple’s most extensive design refresh since iOS 7, aiming to create a consistent and unified aesthetic across all its device operating systems. Users can expect increased use of transparency, glass-like materials, revamped navigation within apps, and new iconography. The changes are inspired by the visual style introduced with visionOS for Apple Vision Pro, but even that platform will see further adjustments to achieve design harmony. While the Apple Watch’s software has seen several updates over the years, Apple TV’s tvOS has remained largely unchanged since its 2015 debut, making this redesign particularly significant. The initiative reflects Apple’s ambition to modernize and unify the look and feel of its entire ecosystem, creating a seamless user experience across devices.
