Apple’s Liquid Glass UI gets key improvements in iOS 26 Beta 2 update
Apple’s latest update to iOS 26 Beta 2 addresses user feedback and resolves several issues with the new Liquid Glass interface introduced earlier this month at WWDC 2025. Liquid Glass is designed to give Apple devices a modernized, translucent UI inspired by the optical qualities of glass, such as its light refraction and transparency. Despite initial excitement, early testers of the beta raised concerns about its readability and usability. One significant issue was the Control Center’s near-invisibility due to its semi-transparent background, which caused confusion by blending the controls with the Home Screen. In the new beta, Apple has improved the Control Center’s background blur, ensuring better contrast and clarity. Notifications, another problem area in the first beta, have also been sharpened, though some users believe there is still room for improvement, especially for content displayed against lighter backgrounds. Although the beta version isn’t final, Apple has shown responsiveness to user feedback. Additionally, the new beta introduces some other features, including an Accessibility section in the App Store, iCloud sync for the Journaling app, and enhanced order tracking in Apple Wallet.
