Brave Browser Reaches 100 Million Monthly Active Users, Highlighting Privacy’s Growing Appeal

Brave, the privacy-focused web browser, has reached a major milestone with 100 million active monthly users as of September 2025. This represents a significant leap from the 50 million mark in 2021, showcasing a remarkable four-fold growth in just four years. Brave’s CEO, Brendan Eich, emphasized the global trend of users opting for privacy and control over their online experiences, rather than accepting the tracking and data exploitation by big tech companies. In addition to its browser, Brave has expanded its product offerings, including a search engine, premium products, and an ad platform, all built with user privacy in mind. Furthermore, Brave’s search engine, Brave Search, has seen an impressive rise in usage, serving over 20 billion search queries annually, a substantial increase from 2.3 billion in 2021. Brave is known for its strong privacy protections, including ad-blocking, tracking prevention, and the option to browse privately via the Tor network. This milestone underscores the growing demand for privacy-conscious alternatives in an increasingly data-driven digital landscape.
