Browser Use Secures $17M to Enhance AI Agent Navigation on Websites
Browser Use, a startup specializing in AI-driven web navigation solutions, has secured $17 million in seed funding. Led by Felicis’ Astasia Myers, with participation from Paul Graham, A Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners, the funding aims to enhance the company’s open-source tool, which makes websites more accessible for AI agents. Founded by Magnus Müller and Gregor Zunic at ETH Zurich’s Student Project House, Browser Use transforms website elements into text-like structures that AI can interpret, reducing the reliance on vision-based systems. The tool gained traction after being utilized by Butterfly Effect’s Manus, a viral AI application. Over 20 startups from Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch have integrated it into their operations. As AI agents become more prominent in web automation, Browser Use seeks to establish itself as a fundamental layer for seamless AI interaction with dynamic web environments. Investors believe the company’s innovative approach could drive the next phase of AI-powered task automation.
