China Approves First Brain Implant for Sale, Paving the Way for Global Industry Leadership

In a groundbreaking move, China has become the first country to approve a commercially available brain implant, the NEO chip, designed to help individuals with paralysis regain mobility. Developed by Neuracle Medical Technology, the chip translates brain signals into actions for a prosthetic hand, enabling users to perform basic tasks like picking up objects and manipulating utensils. After 18 months of successful testing, the Chinese National Medical Products Administration has given the green light to the implant for people aged 19 to 60 suffering from paralysis due to neck or spinal injuries.
