Chinese Tech Brands Expand Presence at European Fair Amid Trade Tensions
At IFA Berlin 2025, Chinese consumer electronics companies, ranging from power bank makers to robot vacuum manufacturers, showcased their products in a bold move to increase their presence in Europe. Nearly 700 Chinese exhibitors attended the five-day event, more than double the previous year’s number. Shenzhen-based Anker Innovations, one of China’s leading tech firms, unveiled a diverse range of products including portable speakers, security cameras, and 3D texture printers. The company also highlighted solar-based energy solutions designed to reduce energy costs. According to Anker’s CEO, Yang Meng, the fair marked a significant step in their vision to build a multi-brand technology company focused on innovation. This surge in Chinese participation comes at a time when competition in the domestic market is intensifying, prompting companies to explore global opportunities and assess market trends abroad. This shift is also influenced by the uncertainty surrounding trade relations between China and the United States, particularly due to the policies of former President Donald Trump. As Chinese companies look to expand internationally, trade events like IFA serve as a key platform for visibility and growth in foreign markets.
