Microsoft’s September 2025 Patch Tuesday update for Windows 11 (version 24H2) brings a variety of new features and improvements. These include a redesigned homepage for the Recall app, an interactive tutorial for Click to Do, and the option to display a clock with seconds in the Notification Center. The update also introduces a grid view for photos in Windows Search, an overhaul of Windows Hello, and enhancements to the Settings app. Notably, the update brings new ways to manage widgets on the Lock screen and redesigns elements in the Sign-in screen. Other improvements include a better Task Manager with updated CPU metrics, enhanced backup options for organizations, and tweaks to File Explorer. Microsoft has also made several changes to privacy settings and has expanded the availability of AI features, including an AI agent in the Settings app. However, certain features like Copilot and some dashboards are currently limited to specific hardware or regions. Overall, these updates aim to improve usability, security, and personalization across Windows 11 systems.
