Elon Musk’s Lawyers Claim He Doesn’t Use a Computer Despite Public Evidence to the Contrary

In a recent court filing, Elon Musk’s legal team claimed that Musk does not use a computer, which has raised eyebrows given his frequent public references to using computers. The filing is part of his ongoing lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAI, with Musk accusing OpenAI of abandoning its mission to develop AI for humanity’s benefit in favor of maximizing profits for Microsoft. Despite Musk’s lawyer’s statements that they’ve conducted searches of his mobile phone and emails, Musk has posted several images on social media that suggest otherwise. In late 2024, Musk shared a photo of a laptop on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that he was testing Starlink’s streaming capability while in flight. He has also mentioned using his “ancient PC laptop” with a Dogecoin sticker in 2025. Musk has referred to his use of various computers, including a Gigabyte laptop, and even a recent purchase of a new PC laptop. Additionally, during his Twitter acquisition, he shared images of what seemed to be a gaming PC in his office. Despite his lawyers’ claims, Musk’s own public posts seem to contradict the assertion that he doesn’t use a computer.
