Fujifilm X-E5 Camera, Bose Audio Devices, and Qualcomm’s AR Chip Lead This Week’s Tech Launches

This week’s roundup of technology product news highlights major announcements from Fujifilm, Bose, Qualcomm, and Sonos. Fujifilm unveiled the X-E5, a compact mirrorless camera featuring a new 40MP APS-C sensor and, for the first time in the X-E line, 7-stop in-body image stabilization (IBIS). It supports 6.2K and 4K video recording and includes a new film simulation dial for custom presets. However, the camera lacks weather sealing and still uses a low-resolution viewfinder. It will retail at $1,699 (body only) or $1,899 with the new 23mm lens in August 2025.

Bose introduced the second generation of its QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, with AI-driven noise filtering, improved call quality, wireless charging, and a new Deep Plum color. Alongside them, the company announced two Bluetooth speakers: the SoundLink Plus and an updated SoundLink Micro. These promise better sound, USB-C charging, and increased battery life.

Qualcomm showcased its AR1+ chip for smart glasses at AWE, enabling on-device AI processing without smartphone reliance. The chip is smaller and more power-efficient than its predecessor and supports real-time responses and enhanced camera functions.

Sonos released a software update for its Ace headphones, enhancing call quality, adaptive noise canceling, and theater audio features like TV Swap and a new TrueCinema mode. The update is available globally starting this week.
