Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leak Reveals Thinner Design and Hole Punch Camera

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is nearing its launch, with a recent leak offering new insights into its design. Leaker Evan Blass shared an image of the device showing a thinner form factor compared to its predecessor. The leak highlights the device’s slim profile, with the fingerprint sensor/power button located near the edge of the device. Additionally, the camera array appears slightly more pronounced than earlier leaks suggested. The most significant update in this leak, however, is the return of the hole punch selfie camera on the inner display. This marks a shift from previous models like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which utilized an under-display camera. Although the placement of the camera remains similar to earlier hole-punch models, the size doesn’t appear to have changed. The reason behind this shift is speculated to be related to a potential patent issue with Apple’s foldable technology. Despite some user disappointment over the return of the hole punch, the change may signal an improvement in camera quality. Samsung has already opened reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, offering various pre-order perks like a $50 credit and up to $1,150 in savings.
