Alienware Area-51 Desktop with RTX 5090 Discounted to $4,899 at Dell

The article highlights a significant Memorial Day deal on the Alienware Area-51 desktop, which features Nvidia’s latest and most powerful consumer GPU, the RTX 5090. Priced at $4,899 (down from $5,499), this high-end gaming desktop also includes a Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB SSD, and a 1,500-watt power supply. Given that the standalone RTX 5090 is in high demand and often sold out, this full system offers better value than buying the GPU separately from resellers, who charge up to $4,000. Tom’s Hardware reviewed a similarly configured model and noted that while the CPU slightly underperforms against older high-end chips at 1080p, the desktop excels at 4K gaming. In demanding titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing enabled, the RTX 5090 configuration delivered performance significantly above RTX 4090-powered systems. Overall, the article positions this Alienware desktop as one of the most powerful consumer gaming PCs currently available, making the deal a compelling option for serious gamers seeking top-tier hardware and performance.
