iPhone 17 Air Battery Capacity Compared to Previous Models
A recent leak has revealed the battery specifications for the new iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be one of the thinnest models in Apple’s lineup. The iPhone 17 Air will come equipped with a 3,149mAh battery, a noticeable difference compared to the standard iPhone 17’s 3,692mAh, the iPhone 17 Pro’s 4,252mAh, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s 5,088mAh. Despite its smaller battery, the iPhone 17 Air features a 6.6-inch display, which is slightly smaller than the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s 6.7-inch display but includes a ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate, a feature not found in the Plus models. Although the smaller battery size may raise concerns, Apple’s optimization of battery life alongside hardware improvements could help mitigate the difference. Historically, battery life has been a challenge for ultra-thin phones, but Apple’s advancements in power management might make the iPhone 17 Air a strong contender. It remains to be seen how much Apple will emphasize battery life during its official presentation, but it is likely that the company will focus on the device’s performance and thinness, offering vague references to its “great all-day battery life.”
