Honor unveils the Magic V6 foldable with improved battery and design

Honor has introduced its latest foldable smartphone, the Magic V6, featuring a significantly improved 6,600 mAh battery, a new and more durable hinge, and a sleeker design. The Magic V6 measures just 4mm in thickness when unfolded and 8.75mm when folded, making it one of the thinnest foldables on the market. In addition to the enhanced battery, which offers faster charging speeds (80W wired, 66W wireless), Honor has also showcased a breakthrough in battery technology, promising even larger capacities with its new Silicon-carbon battery. The device features a 7.95-inch main AMOLED display with a 2352 x 2172 resolution and a secondary 6.52-inch display. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Notably, Honor is working on making the Magic V6 compatible with Apple devices, allowing for seamless file sharing and notification syncing with iPhones and Macs. The phone also boasts a new Super Steel Hinge with a tensile strength of 2,800 MPa, making it more durable for long-term use. Honor plans to release the Magic V6 in select international markets later this year, though pricing remains unannounced.
