Honor 400 and 400 Pro Announced with Six Years of Software Support and Competitive Specs

Honor has introduced two new smartphones, the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro, targeting the midrange market in the UK and Europe. The main highlight of both devices is Honor’s commitment to providing six years of software updates and security patches, a promise that rivals the best in the industry and ensures longevity for users. The Honor 400 Pro, priced at £699.99 / €799 (about $900), features high-end specifications such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, a large 5,300mAh battery (with an even larger 6,000mAh variant outside Europe), and a triple camera setup led by a 200-megapixel main sensor. The regular Honor 400, available at a more affordable £399.99 / €499 (about $560), offers a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display, straight-edged design, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and the same main and ultrawide cameras as the Pro, but without the telephoto lens. It also has slightly less comprehensive water resistance (IP65) and lacks wireless charging. Both phones launch with MagicOS and Android 15, and include a unique AI-powered image-to-video feature using Google’s Veo 2 model, currently exclusive to these devices. With prices and features that make them strong alternatives to the Pixel 9A and Galaxy A56, the Honor 400 series stands out for its balance of price, performance, and long-term support.
