Dyson Introduces PencilVac: Its Slimmest and Most Advanced Cordless Vacuum

Dyson has unveiled the PencilVac, its slimmest and most technologically advanced cordless vacuum cleaner to date. Initially available in Japan and Korea, the device won’t reach the US market until 2026. The PencilVac features a completely new design that removes the bulky cyclone technology used in previous models, replacing it with a two-stage linear dust-separation system. This new system improves airflow and dust management, automatically compressing debris in a bin with a nominal capacity of 0.08 liters, which Dyson claims can hold five times more due to compression.

It’s powered by the new Hyperdymium 104k motor, the company’s smallest and fastest yet, spinning at 140,000 RPM. Despite having lower suction power (55 AW) compared to Dyson’s top-end models, its slender frame, brush bar system (Fluffycones), and green laser lights make it ideal for small homes with hard floors. Unlike other models, it lacks a piezo sensor for automatic suction adjustments.

The PencilVac connects to the MyDyson app for maintenance tracking and settings control, includes a magnetic floor dock for storage, and features an LCD screen on the handle. Although its battery lasts only 30 minutes in Eco mode, it remains a compact and practical choice for tight spaces and everyday cleaning needs.
