iCloud Faces Outage Affecting Multiple Apple Services
On June 24, 2025, iCloud experienced a significant outage affecting various Apple services such as Photos, iMessage, and iCloud Mail. The issue began around 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time and impacted users’ ability to sync or download content. The problem also caused issues with iCloud Web Apps, Find My, and iCloud Mail. Users flooded platforms like Down Detector and social media to report the disruption, with peak reports around 900. Apple’s status page confirmed the outages, but some services, like iCloud Photos, were sporadically affected while others remained operational. By the afternoon, the number of reports started to decline, and the issue was officially resolved by 4:15 p.m. Pacific. While some services were restored gradually, others remained problematic until later in the day. The outage lasted over five hours, and though Apple did not provide immediate updates on the cause, the issue appeared isolated to iCloud-related services. Throughout the day, affected users took to forums and social media to voice their frustration, but by evening, all services were confirmed to be operational again.
