Impulse Space Secures $300 Million to Scale Operations and Advance Electric Propulsion

Impulse Space has secured $300 million in a Series C funding round, led by Linse Capital and supported by DFJ Growth and existing investors. This preemptive raise comes less than a year after the company closed a $150 million Series B round, which was meant to support the first flight of the Helios high-performance transfer vehicle in 2026. The latest funding will be used to expand production of Impulse’s Mira and Helios space vehicles, which have garnered over 30 contracts worth nearly $200 million. Demand for Mira, particularly in defense applications, has surged, partly due to heightened interest from the U.S. Space Force and a partnership with Anduril for maneuverable missions. On the commercial side, Impulse recently secured an agreement with SES to deliver a satellite from LEO to GEO by 2027. The company also eyes roles in NASA’s future Moon and Mars transportation programs. With current staffing at 225–250 employees, Impulse aims to grow to 350 within a year. Part of the funds will also support R&D into electric propulsion technologies, focusing on proven engineering approaches with an emphasis on reliability and cost-efficiency. Expansion will include current Southern California operations and a growing presence in Boulder, Colorado.
