AWS Launches Product Lifecycle Page to Centralize Service Support and Availability Updates

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new resource called the AWS Product Lifecycle page, designed to streamline how users access and manage information related to service availability and lifecycle changes. This centralized page provides a comprehensive overview of three types of updates: services that are closing access to new customers, services that have announced end of support, and services that have already reached their end of support date. The goal is to simplify tracking and planning for affected workloads by consolidating all relevant data into a single, accessible location.

As part of the initial rollout, AWS announced that Amazon Timestream for LiveAnalytics will no longer accept new customers after June 20, 2025, although current users can continue using the service. Several services have been marked for end of support, including Amazon Pinpoint, AWS IQ, AWS IoT Analytics, and Amazon Inspector Classic, among others. Additionally, AWS Private 5G and AWS DataSync Discovery have already reached their end-of-support phase and are no longer accessible.

The page also provides recommended migration paths and documentation links to assist users in transitioning their workloads. AWS emphasizes that these decisions are made after thorough evaluation and are accompanied by guidance to minimize disruption. The company encourages users to bookmark the Product Lifecycle page and monitor updates through the “What’s New with AWS?” section or AWS Support.
