iOS 26.2: Eight New Features to Expect in December

Apple is set to release iOS 26.2 in December, following the beta rollout last week. The update introduces several new features, with notable ones including a Liquid Glass slider for adjusting the opacity of the clock on the Lock Screen, and offline lyrics support in Apple Music for when you’re not connected to the internet. Apple is also revising the Sleep Score feature with updated ranges to better track your sleep quality, and adding alarms for reminders in the Reminders app. Apple’s Podcasts app sees enhancements, such as automatic chapter markers for episodes, timed links, and easier access to referenced podcasts. Another major update includes the ability to make the iPhone screen flash for notifications, which can be customized alongside the LED flash option. Additionally, iOS 26.2 enables Live Translation for AirPods in the European Union, offering real-time translations during conversations. The new feature will be available on compatible AirPods, including AirPods Pro 2 and 3, and works best when both speakers are using AirPods for seamless communication across different languages.
