What We Know So Far About the iPhone 17: Features, Design, and Release Date
Apple’s iPhone 17 is set to launch in September 2025, with leaks already providing significant insight into its features and design. Apple’s upcoming phone models will include the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, which could measure just 5.5mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone to date. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 48MP rear camera and a USB-C port slightly off-center to fit the slim design. The iPhone 17 lineup, including the Air and Pro models, will also run on Apple’s A19 chip, with the Pro models benefiting from an A19 Pro variant and 12GB of RAM. As for cameras, a 24MP front-facing camera and upgraded rear sensors are expected, including a 48MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom on the Pro models. There will also be new color options, such as purple and sky blue, along with a revamped design that could feature an aluminum frame for the Pro models instead of the titanium frame seen in previous versions. The iPhone 17 may see a price increase due to its new design and features, and Apple is expected to offer a slimmer battery solution to maintain battery life despite the phone’s thin profile. As for the release date, it is expected that the iPhone 17 will be announced in early September, with pre-orders opening shortly after.
