LATAM Cybersecurity Festival 2025 Strengthens Regional Digital Security and Cooperation

The LATAM Cybersecurity Festival 2025 marks its fourth edition this October, serving as a key regional platform to enhance digital culture and collaborative security efforts across Latin America. Organized by U-Gob, the festival brings together experts, public institutions, private companies, technical communities, and educational networks. It kicked off on October 3 with a keynote by Pablo Corona on ‘Cybersecurity: Strategic Investment for LATAM,’ followed by a panel on digital governance and regional cooperation emphasizing that no country can face digital risks alone. The festival focuses on five main areas: cybersecurity and digital education, cyber resilience for SMEs, AI and cybersecurity, legislation and public policies, and digital identity, privacy, and trust. Sessions cover topics such as children’s digital rights, hacker culture in education, AI governance, and practical data protection strategies. Government officials and stakeholders are encouraged to participate to strengthen institutional capabilities and develop coherent regional cybersecurity policies. Beyond a technical event, the festival promotes digital literacy, talent development, and social inclusion, highlighting that cybersecurity protects people, rights, and the future of the region. The festival transforms knowledge into actionable strategies for a safer, more connected digital Latin America.
