Lucid Gravity: A Tech-Packed Electric SUV Focused on Performance, Range, and Interior Space
Lucid Motors has unveiled the Lucid Gravity, a luxurious all-electric SUV built to compete with the likes of the Rivian R1S, Cadillac Escalade IQ, and BMW X7. With a starting price of $96,550 and up to $99,450 for the three-row model, the Gravity offers impressive specs, including a range of up to 450 miles, acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds, and incredibly fast charging—up to 200 miles in just 11 minutes on DC fast chargers. Lucid’s engineers utilized lessons from the Lucid Air to create a new Gen 2 platform, featuring advanced battery tech developed with Panasonic, new thermal and charging systems, and rear motor-based voltage boosting for faster charging. The vehicle is designed with spaciousness in mind, offering 120 cubic feet of interior room and innovations like electronic diffusers replacing traditional fuses. Its advanced infotainment and driver assistance systems include Qualcomm and NVIDIA chips, and it currently supports Level 2 autonomy, with plans for Level 3. During a test drive on California roads, the Gravity demonstrated agile handling, thanks to adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and a uniquely responsive ‘squircal’ steering wheel. With comfort, performance, and cutting-edge EV tech, the Lucid Gravity stands out in the high-end SUV market.
