Samsung Exynos 2600 Set for Mass Production Using 2nm GAA Technology by September End

Samsung is reportedly moving forward with the mass production of its Exynos 2600 chipset using its advanced 2nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) process, with first silicon expected by the end of September 2025. Internal reports suggest that the Exynos 2600 delivers significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the Exynos 2500, showing impressive single-core and multi-core results. Benchmarks indicate that the chipset can compete with a downclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and surpass Apple’s A19 Pro in multi-threaded tests. Samsung’s LSI division has emphasized steady preparation and promising results, which could ensure that the upcoming Galaxy S26 and S26 Edge are not Snapdragon-exclusive models, potentially challenging Qualcomm’s dominance in the smartphone chip market. While the 2nm GAA yield figures were reported at 30% earlier this year, Samsung appears confident in reaching commercially viable production. Additionally, the company is reportedly ahead in developing its second-generation 2nm GAA process (SF2P), which could start mass production by the end of 2026. The successful rollout of the Exynos 2600 is expected to strengthen consumer confidence in Samsung’s 2nm technology and reinforce its position in the high-end chipset segment.
