Mockly Launches User-Friendly Fake DM Generator for Multiple Platforms
A new web app called Mockly, developed by Maurice Kleine, aims to simplify the creation of fake direct message (DM) screenshots. Unlike other fake message generators, which often have a confusing and potentially dangerous user experience, Mockly stands out for its clean interface and usability. The tool supports 13 different platforms including iMessage, Discord, Instagram, Tinder, and WhatsApp, making it versatile. While some templates look more authentic than others, such as the Instagram template, the app mainly generates web-based screenshots, not mobile versions. This limitation might help prevent widespread misuse of the tool, as users may question the legitimacy of such images, especially in an era rife with AI-generated misinformation. Despite the potential for misuse, Mockly’s simplicity offers a safer alternative to the cluttered and potentially risky alternatives that have existed in the fake DM generator space for years.
