NVIDIA Plans RTX 50 SUPER GPU Refresh for Holiday 2025 With More Memory and Power
NVIDIA is reportedly preparing to release an updated lineup of graphics cards — the GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Series — during the fourth quarter of 2025, according to sources cited by TweakTown. The new models expected include the RTX 5070 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 5080 SUPER. This refresh is said to arrive less than a year after the initial RTX 50 series debuted at CES 2025.
A notable upgrade in this refresh is the significant increase in video memory. The RTX 5070 SUPER will reportedly include 18GB of GDDR7 memory, while the Ti and 5080 SUPER models may offer up to 24GB, a response to criticism over limited VRAM on earlier models. Alongside the expanded memory, users can expect higher boost clock speeds and increased power draw. For example, the RTX 5080 SUPER is expected to see its TGP rise from 360W to 415W, and the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER from 300W to 350W.
While final specifications and pricing are yet to be confirmed, these updates suggest a focus on addressing performance bottlenecks in demanding modern games. Official announcements are likely to occur near the holiday season, with product availability expected shortly after.
