Psylo Browser Enhances Privacy by Assigning Unique IP Addresses to Each Tab

Psylo, a new privacy-focused browser for iOS, tackles the growing issue of digital fingerprinting by isolating each browser tab with its own unique IP address. Developed by Mysk, the browser goes beyond traditional privacy measures by using proxy-based encryption, individual anti-fingerprinting techniques like canvas randomization, and dynamic adjustments to the browser’s time zone and language settings. This makes it harder for websites to track users or link multiple tabs to a single device. Unlike typical VPNs that mask an IP address but leave other identifiers intact, Psylo’s multi-tab isolation prevents even sophisticated tracking techniques from linking browsing activity across tabs. Additionally, Psylo doesn’t store any personally identifiable information, ensuring a higher level of privacy. Subscription data is anonymized with randomly generated IDs, and only minimal bandwidth usage data is collected to prevent abuse. Currently available on iOS and iPadOS, Psylo costs $9.99 per month or $99 annually. Mysk has hinted at the possibility of an Android version, pending user interest. The browser stands out in a crowded privacy space by offering an effective solution to digital fingerprinting, a problem that even established privacy browsers like Brave have struggled to address effectively on iOS.
