Querétaro Hosts International Forum to Advance Digital Transformation

Querétaro Digital 360 was held on November 20-21, 2025, positioning Querétaro as a key hub for technological innovation in Mexico. The forum brought together international experts from Estonia, Greece, and Romania, alongside local government officials, academia, and private sector representatives, to discuss strategies for advancing digital transformation. Notable participants included Stefan Agne from the European Union, as well as experts from Estonia, a global leader in digital governance. Estonian best practices, such as universal digital identity and the X-Road platform, were highlighted as models for efficient public service delivery. Local authorities emphasized the importance of using technology to enhance competitiveness, innovation, and public policy. Despite strong digital infrastructure, including widespread internet and mobile coverage, Querétaro faces challenges in the adoption of financial digital services. The event also fostered collaboration between government, business, and academia, aligning with Estonia’s philosophy that government facilitates rather than drives innovation. Overall, the forum emphasized long-term vision, cultural change, and citizen-centered policies as key elements to accelerate the state’s digital transformation, building on both international experience and local potential.
