Revelo Reports Growing US Demand for Latin American Developers Specializing in AI Post-Training

Revelo, a tech startup founded in 2014, has seen a significant surge in demand from U.S. companies seeking developer talent from Latin America—particularly for post-training tasks related to large language models (LLMs). With a network of over 400,000 vetted engineers, Revelo specializes in connecting U.S. firms with Latin American developers, facilitating hiring and payment processes. According to CEO Lucas Mendes, the latest spike in interest is driven by companies developing foundational AI models that need expert human input for tasks such as coding improvements.

In 2024, these AI-related hires made up 22% of Revelo’s revenue. U.S. enterprises like Intuit, Oracle, Dell, and several major hyperscale AI providers have been among its clients. Revelo’s appeal lies not only in talent quality and cost-efficiency but also in nearshoring advantages—such as developers working in the same time zones as U.S.-based teams.

Despite a broader trend of returning to in-office work, Revelo continues to thrive, in part due to a strategic expansion throughout Latin America and recent acquisitions of five competitors, including Alto and Paretisa. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated its growth as U.S. firms became more open to distributed teams. Mendes emphasizes that Revelo is positioning itself as a global talent backbone for the AI era.
