HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro 4K: A Solid Gaming Mouse, But Is It Worth the Upgrade?
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro 4K is a high-performance gaming mouse aimed at competitive gamers. Priced at $120, it features a lightweight design (61 grams), an ultra-sensitive sensor with up to 26,000 DPI, and a polling rate of 4,000 Hz. While these specifications enhance precision and responsiveness, the practical benefits of the higher polling rate are debatable, as most users may not notice significant differences compared to standard rates. The mouse also offers excellent build quality, smooth optical switches, and versatile connectivity options, including wireless (2.4 GHz and Bluetooth) and wired modes. However, its battery life varies significantly depending on usage, lasting up to 90 hours at lower polling rates but dropping to 30 hours at the highest setting. Despite its strengths, the mouse’s slate-gray color option is uninspiring, and its cheaper sibling, the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 ($70), offers nearly identical features without the premium price tag. For most users, the non-Pro version provides better value unless specific high-end features are essential.
