LG Gram Pro 16 (2025) Review: A Thin and Lightweight Laptop with Some Trade-offs

The LG Gram Pro 16 (2025) is a significant update to the brand’s famously lightweight laptop lineup. While it has made notable improvements over the previous Gram Pro 17, it still suffers from some key weaknesses. Weighing just 2.9 pounds and measuring only 15mm thick, the Gram Pro 16 is thinner and slightly lighter than many 16-inch laptops. The laptop comes with a 16-inch touchscreen that boasts a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 2-in-1 design with a magnetic charging stylus. However, while the design is sleek, the keyboard has limited key travel, making touch typing uncomfortable. Additionally, the laptop’s battery life is lackluster, with only about 8 hours of usage, far less than its competitors. Despite its slim form factor, the Gram Pro 16 performs well, thanks to its Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, offering a substantial performance boost over its predecessor. Yet, the overall experience is marred by dim screen brightness, operational bugs, and connection issues. Still, the Gram Pro 16 shows LG’s continued effort to refine its design, but at a starting price of $1,500, it remains a mixed proposition.
