Revolution | London and EXACT Technology Launch Integrated xBOLT Sensor for Real-Time Concrete Temperature Monitoring

Revolution | London has launched xBOLT™ for INSIGHT™, a new in-drum temperature monitoring system designed to provide real-time visibility of concrete temperature during transport. Developed in collaboration with EXACT Technology, xBOLT™ is the first fully integrated sensor of its kind, built into a mixer’s control system without requiring additional hardware, screens, or software. The self-contained, wireless sensor fits inside a drum hatch bolt and communicates live temperature data directly through the INSIGHT™ Mixer System. This innovation allows producers and fleet operators to track the temperature of concrete from plant to pour, improving load management, reducing waste, and ensuring quality consistency throughout the delivery process. According to Revolution | London Vice President Bryan Datema, producers have long lacked insight into drum conditions once a truck leaves the plant. With xBOLT™, operators can now make better decisions in real time, especially in extreme weather or on long hauls. The technology was publicly unveiled at ConExpo, where it received strong industry interest. xBOLT™ will come standard on new Revolution | London mixers equipped with INSIGHT beginning in July 2026 and will be available as an aftermarket option for compatible Revolution, London, and McNeilus mixers. The rugged design is maintenance-free, requires no wiring, and resists harsh conditions like washouts and vibration. This collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing connected technologies that improve safety, efficiency, and overall concrete quality from production to delivery.
