Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta and Upcoming Official Release Schedule Across Galaxy Devices
Samsung Electronics has officially announced a substantial expansion of its One UI 8 beta program, aimed at bringing advanced multimodal AI capabilities to a wider array of Galaxy devices. Originally introduced with the Galaxy S25 series in May, the beta will, starting the week of August 11, become available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 across Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India. Participation is open through the Samsung Members app. In September, the beta program will extend to more devices including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Galaxy A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54, aiming to gather broader user feedback. Samsung emphasizes that One UI 8 delivers a smarter, more personalized AI experience, leveraging real-time context and supporting natural interactions. Notably, when paired with Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro, users can access Google Gemini via voice or touch. Productivity, efficiency, and proactive suggestions are being enhanced to better serve individual users. The official stable release of One UI 8 is set for September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series before rolling out to other eligible models. Additionally, One UI 8 Watch will be made available later this year to a wider range of Galaxy Watch models beyond the latest Watch8 lineup, focusing on improved health features and a refined interface. The timeline and availability for both phone and watch updates may vary depending on device model and region, and the rollout is designed to be sequential for quality assurance.
