Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 Revealed: A Thinner and Larger Foldable with Design Tweaks

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is making waves as a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the Z Fold 6. A hands-on video from Korean YouTube channel TheSINZA shows off a dummy unit, highlighting the sleek new design and slimmer profile of the upcoming foldable phone. At just 4.5mm in thickness when unfolded, the Z Fold 7 is thinner than last year’s model, making it feel much more premium. While the overall design retains the squared edges and metal frame introduced last year, the phone now has a noticeably larger display, similar in size to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. One major change is the front panel, which now uses a more standard display shape compared to the previous Z Fold models that stuck with a narrow screen. However, the camera module sticks out noticeably from the back, which could affect the stability of the phone when placed flat. Despite the slimmer design, the Z Fold 7 promises an enhanced experience with a larger, more user-friendly display. The device is expected to be officially unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 9, 2025, but leaks already suggest it will meet the expectations many have had for the series. For those looking for a significant upgrade in Samsung’s foldable lineup, the Z Fold 7 seems to be the answer.
