Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Leak Reveals Significant Performance Gains Over Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple A19 Pro

Recent leaks have revealed early benchmark scores for Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, expected to launch in September 2025. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is projected to achieve a single-core Geekbench 6 score exceeding 4,000 and a multi-core score above 11,000. This represents an approximate 30% improvement in single-core performance and a 20% boost in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which averages around 3,000 and 9,200 respectively. The new chipset is also anticipated to outperform Apple’s rumored A19 Pro, which is expected to match the Elite 2 in single-core performance but lag behind in multi-core scores, around 10,000. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process and features a 2+6 CPU core configuration with peak clock speeds up to 5GHz. Additionally, its Adreno 840 GPU is expected to deliver a roughly 30% performance uplift over the previous Adreno 830. These improvements could position Qualcomm’s new chipset as the leading mobile SoC in terms of raw CPU and GPU power for late 2025 flagship smartphones.
