SwitchBot Expands Home Assistant Support with Over 45 New Device Integrations

SwitchBot is significantly expanding its integration with Home Assistant, an open-source smart home platform. According to an email sent to The Verge, more than 45 SwitchBot products will become compatible with Home Assistant in the first half of 2025. This includes the SwitchBot Hub 3, which was recently revealed in a filing with the Connectivity Standards Alliance. Many of these integrations are expected to roll out in April, as per SwitchBot’s website. Among the supported devices will be the Robot Vacuum K10 Plus Pro, Curtain 3 smart shades, and a new garage door opener. These additions build upon existing SwitchBot devices already compatible with Home Assistant, such as the SwitchBot Lock Pro.

This integration is particularly significant given that many major smart home brands often make software changes that disrupt community-driven Home Assistant integrations. By officially supporting a wide range of devices, SwitchBot enhances the stability and usability of its smart home products for Home Assistant users. The move signals a commitment to open smart home ecosystems, allowing users more flexibility and control over their automation setups.
