TechCrunch and VivaTech Launch Award to Recognize Top Startup Innovation at VivaTech 2025

TechCrunch has teamed up with VivaTech, Europe’s largest technology and startup event, to introduce the VivaTech Innovation of the Year Award at the upcoming 2025 conference. This new award will honor startups that stand out for their innovation, technological strength, and potential to disrupt industries. TechCrunch will play a central role in the process by shortlisting 30 candidate startups, contributing to the jury that selects the top five finalists, and participating in the final award presentation on June 11, 2025. These five finalists will pitch on stage at VivaTech, receive additional event passes, gain high-level exposure to investors, and benefit from significant marketing visibility.

The winner of the Innovation of the Year Award will earn a coveted spot in TechCrunch’s Disrupt Startup Battlefield 200, offering a chance to present in San Francisco later in the year. Eligible startups must be exhibitors at VivaTech 2025, founded in or after 2020, and have fewer than 50 employees. The finalists will be selected by June 4, with a pitch session on June 11 and the VivaTech Global Awards Ceremony on June 12, hosted by TechCrunch. The partnership highlights both organizations’ commitment to accelerating innovation and supporting startups with global potential.
