Tesla unveils its Oasis Supercharger station with solar power and off-grid energy storage

Tesla has officially launched its Oasis Supercharger station in Lost Hills, California, marking a major step towards sustainable electric vehicle (EV) charging. The station, which features a 30-acre solar farm and 39 MWh of off-grid battery storage, represents Tesla’s commitment to making charging stations more energy-independent and environmentally friendly. The Oasis station is one of the largest in the world, with 168 stalls (half of which are already operational) and includes 11 MW of solar power from ground-mounted panels and canopies. Additionally, it is equipped with 10 Tesla Megapacks for energy storage, ensuring it can operate off the grid. Tesla’s goal is to provide charging services fully powered by renewable energy. The launch of 84 stalls just in time for the Fourth of July weekend highlights the company’s commitment to expanding its infrastructure while promoting sustainable energy solutions. This station marks an important milestone for Tesla’s Supercharger network, which promises to be more self-sustaining in the future as the company continues to implement solar arrays and storage solutions at its charging locations.
