The Browser Company launches $20/month subscription for Dia AI browser with unlimited chat access

The Browser Company, creators of the Arc browser, has introduced a paid subscription for its AI-powered browser, Dia. The new ‘Dia Pro’ plan costs $20 per month and offers users unlimited access to the browser’s AI chat feature. This feature allows users to ask questions about the content in their open tabs. Those who opt for the free version of Dia will still have access to the core functionalities, such as interacting with the browser’s AI chatbot and creating custom skills, but may experience limitations if they use the AI chat feature frequently. The company has not defined clear usage limits for free users but mentioned that light users of the AI tool will still have access without issues. CEO Josh Miller previously hinted at additional subscription tiers, ranging from $5 to hundreds of dollars per month. The browser was launched in beta in June after being initially announced in late 2024. Dia’s release follows the trend of integrating AI into web browsers, with major players like Google and Microsoft also incorporating AI into their offerings. Rumors suggest that OpenAI might be planning its own AI browser in the near future.
