Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Review: Affordable with Strong Features but Limited Battery Life

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, also known as the Fan Edition, offers a compelling mix of features and affordability, starting under $550 for the 128 GB model. It delivers a bright 120 Hz AMOLED display, good triple-camera performance, and long-term software support with Android 16 and seven years of updates. The phone is powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, includes 8 GB of RAM, and supports up to 512 GB of storage. Its design is lightweight, water-resistant (IP68), and features Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back. Despite these strengths, the S25 FE has notable compromises compared to the standard S25 models. It lacks WiFi 7, uses an LTPS panel instead of LPTO, relies on an optical fingerprint sensor instead of an ultrasonic one, and shows weaker battery life with higher heat under load. Camera improvements are modest, with slight enhancements in the telephoto and front cameras. Connectivity is solid with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, while navigation is accurate, although occasionally less precise than premium GPS devices. Overall, the Galaxy S25 FE balances affordability and performance but may be outperformed by the standard S25 for similar pricing, particularly in battery longevity.
