The incident, which occurred in March 2025, shows a Model 3 veering off the road, side-swiping a tree, and flipping over despite the driver being fully attentive. The driver, Wally, explained that he had no time to react as the car suddenly swerved after passing an oncoming vehicle. This video has raised significant concerns about the safety of Tesla’s FSD system, which has already been linked to several non-fatal crashes and fatalities in the past. Although Tesla markets FSD as an autonomous system, it is still considered a Level 2 driver-assist technology, requiring constant supervision.
