Apple’s OLED Touchscreen MacBook Expected in Late 2026 or Early 2027

Apple is reportedly preparing to launch a new MacBook with an OLED touchscreen, according to the latest industry reports. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently stated that mass production for this device is expected to begin by late 2026. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who had previously reported on the development back in 2023, confirms the timeline, which has now shifted from an anticipated late 2025 release to a more realistic late 2026 or early 2027 launch. While Apple has been reluctant to combine its iPad and MacBook product lines, the increasing popularity of touch interfaces in Windows laptops and the slowing sales of iPads have put pressure on Apple to incorporate touchscreen functionality into its MacBooks. Despite this, Apple is unlikely to fully merge the iPad and MacBook lines, but the new touchscreen feature will likely be a response to consumer demand for more interactive devices.
