JBL Announces New Grip, PartyBox 720, and Boombox 4 Speakers

JBL has unveiled a new range of portable speakers at IFA 2025, including the JBL Grip, PartyBox 720, and Boombox 4. The Grip, priced at $99, fits between the Clip 5 and Flip 7 models. It is designed to resemble a drink can, is small enough to hold in one hand, and offers up to 14 hours of playback. It features IP68 water resistance, Auracast support, AI Sound Boost technology for enhanced bass, and a rear pill-shaped ambient light controllable via the JBL app. The speaker will be available in multiple colors, including black, blue, camo, pink, purple, red, and white, with pre-orders starting now and sales beginning on September 28.

At the higher end, the PartyBox 720 is JBL’s largest portable speaker yet, costing $1,099. Weighing 7 pounds, it delivers up to 800W of power and can run on batteries for up to 15 hours or be plugged in. Pre-orders are open now, with sales starting September 21. The Boombox 4, priced at $550, offers improved audio output compared to previous models despite being lighter. It provides 50% more power when using battery mode and will be available for purchase alongside the Grip on September 28. Overall, JBL’s 2025 lineup targets various price points, from compact and affordable to high-powered party speakers, combining portability with modern audio features.
