TouchBristo Introduces Handheld Device to Streamline Restaurant Operations
TouchBistro has launched TouchBristo One, a handheld device designed to integrate ordering, payments, and receipt printing for restaurant staff. Aimed at full-service restaurants, the device works with the company’s mobile-first point-of-sale system to address operational challenges like payment delays, slower table turnover, and hardware maintenance costs. The compact, durable hardware features long battery life and is built for restaurant environments. It combines functions typically split across multiple tools, offering table management and menu navigation capabilities. Basil Abou Aishi, Vice President of Technology, emphasized the device’s user-centric design, developed based on feedback from restaurant operators and staff during testing. The product focuses on full-service dining scenarios where handheld devices can reduce wait times and streamline service workflows. While the upfront cost may vary, TouchBristo argues the integration reduces manual steps and errors compared to disconnected systems. This launch reflects a broader trend in restaurant tech toward front-of-house automation, with potential benefits for labor efficiency and hardware spending reduction.
