A new twist on this threat, called ‘choicejacking,’ allows attackers to trick a device into accepting a data connection instead of simply charging, potentially exposing sensitive information. Experts warn that public USB ports, found in airports, hotels, and cafes, should never be trusted, even though this threat is generally considered more relevant to individuals in high-risk environments.
