Now, it has posted three AI-specific job listings: a content creation agent, a customer support engineer agent, and a junior developer agent. Each role pays $5,000 per month, with tasks ranging from autonomous content generation to managing support tickets and handling code contributions in TypeScript and Go.

The AI agents are expected to operate with minimal human input, using feedback loops to improve performance autonomously. Firecrawl’s broader vision includes collaboration with human developers, potentially hiring them full-time or as contractors. These human collaborators may be the creators of the AI agents or developers capable of building and managing such systems.

Firecrawl offers a web crawling service designed to extract website data for training large language models (LLMs), with an emphasis on ethical scraping practices. Founder Caleb Peffer sees this initiative as a step toward a future where developers manage fleets of AI agents to enhance productivity. While current AI cannot fully replace humans, the company wants to partner with individuals who can help shape and supervise these emerging technologies.
